Enhanced and flexible working style using two-hour leave

Since 2019, we have expanded our paid leave system to allow “two hour leave”.
There are times when you have small things to do outside of work, that doesn’t take as long as a half-day but only a few hours. The “two-hour leave” system realizes flexible ways of working according to each employee’s needs, and also contributes to improving productivity from efficient use of time. This leave idea was proposed by the working style reform team consisting of female employees in the company. It may be one of F&P’s distinctive features that active internal studies are conducted and the system is rapidly institutionalized. The leave is used in a variety of situations, such as ” to participate in school events for children,” “for various procedures at government offices and banks,” “for regular hospital visits,” and “for assisting families with hospital visits.” It is a leave system that I appreciate to have as an employee. We have a corporate culture that accepts good ideas for improving work environment and productivity.

Message

I feel that the corporate atmosphere is also reflected in the ease of taking paid leaves. Of course, preparations for taking leave and pre-adjustments within the department are necessary, but the corporate culture of covering for the absence of colleagues with teams supports the use of paid leave, including 2-hour leave.
