We sponsored the Chiba Jets’ “Children’s Community Kitchen” event, which was held 10 times and attended by approx. 900 parents and children.
The men’s professional basketball team “Chiba Jets”, which our company supports as a partner company, held a “Children’s Community Kitchen” at LaLa Terrace TOKYO-BAY, which is close to their home arena and our group company Smile Brothers Japan Co., Ltd. provides support for the program.
This is a program that provides free meals to single-parent families living in Funabashi City and to parents and children from elementary schools near the home arena.
The event will be held on one day per month from September 2024 to June 2025, with two sessions each. The tenth session was held on June 15, 2025(Sunday).
On the day of the event, a total of 76 parents and children participated in the first and second sessions, enjoying a meal while watching past matches.
Also, Nichirei Fresh gave a lecture on food education, which included a demonstration of how to cut up a whole chicken. Seeing the process of how chicken meat we are familiar with is prepared was an opportunity to learn the importance of saying “Itadakimasu” and “Gochisousama” when eating, in gratitude for the life of the animal.
Since last year, we have held a total of 10 events, with approximately 900 parents and children participating. We would like to express our gratitude to the companies and organizations that cooperated by providing food education lectures and food.
We appreciate the cooperation.
F&P group will continue to support initiatives related to CSR (corporate social responsibility), such as community contribution activities through sports.
