F&P Received the Corporate Disaster Prevention Award at the Business Continuity Advancement Organization’s “BCAO Award 2022”.

2023/05/25

The Business Continuity Advancement Organization (BCAO), the largest organization in Japan that promotes the dissemination and awareness of business continuity planning and business continuity management, awards individuals and organizations that have contributed to the dissemination and practice of business continuity in Japan with the “BCAO Award” every year.
At the 17th BCAO Award 2022, our Sendai Nagamachi Future Co-Creation Center’s efforts were honored with the “Corporate Disaster Prevention Award” in the disaster prevention category.

<BCAO Award Comment>
Fukuda and Partners, a Tokyo-based logistics facility construction and management company, has planned and constructed the “Sendai Nagamachi Future Co-Creation Center,” a tenant office building in Sendai City that can contribute to local disaster prevention, based on its experience in the Great East Japan Earthquake, through joint research with a university. An agreement was concluded between industry, academia, and government, including the city of Sendai, regarding the use of Sendai Nagamachi Future Co-Creation Center.
During normal times, it functions as a facility where the company, tenants, and the community can practice “co-creation” of disaster prevention by disseminating disaster prevention-related information. In case of an emergency, it functions as a community-based “co-existence” disaster prevention facility by serving as a secondary base for the companies, providing free stockpiles, and accepting people who cannot return home equipped with triple power systems.
Such a project that contributes to improving the multifaceted disaster prevention function of the community is highly commendable as a corporate disaster prevention activity.
