Supporting collaborative projects of Bridge Asia Japan (BAJ)and Tokyo Toy Museum in Myanmar

2016/01/27

As part of our CSR efforts in Myanmar, F&P supported the “BOOK&TOY Library 100 Project in Myanmar”, a cooperative project between Bridge Asia Japan (BAJ), a certified NPO, and the Tokyo Toy Museum.

It is said that Myanmar was the world’s top donor to Japan per capita in the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake. The project was planned by BAJ and the Tokyo Toy Museum in return. In 2014, a project team conducted a survey in a village in Myanmar. The project team set a goal of “Learn and play for children. Let’s deliver 7,500 books and 600 toys to 30 schools!” throughout Myanmar.

As a first step, on January 27, 2016, Japanese companies and the general public donated a set of books containing toys and books to a local elementary school.

The representatives of BAJ and the Tokyo Toy Museum have visited at our new office in Japan, where we received a report on the donation and a letter of appreciation.

With this project support, we have been able to further deepen our bonds with Myanmar. Going forward, through co-sourcing services, F&P will continue to focus on the works of Myanmar, which we are engaged in as part of contributing to the development of infrastructure in society and enriching society.
