Activity in 2023

To our employees and their families

The cold weather is getting deeper and deeper, and I hope everyone is doing well. Thank you for always devoting yourself to your work. I would also like to thank your family for supporting our employees.

As part of our SDGs activities, we have started a co-creation project to develop the Cow-living Forest together with Sagotani Farmer in Yukicho, Hiroshima.

“F&P SDGs Hiroshima Yukicho Co-Creation Forest” (1,500㎡) was established in “Creation of Cow-living Forest” of Sagotani Farmer, and the construction of the land was carried out since May this year, and the soil was digged by 15 employees and the first tree planting meeting was conducted in November.

In the future, we will plant trees once a year (from April to May next year) to create a forest over the next 20 years. We would like to create forests, contribute to the global environment, regenerate ecosystems together with cattle, and pass on the future of food to the next generation.

As a token of our gratitude to all F&P employees and their families who support their work, we will deliver dairy products created in collaboration with Sagotani Farmer.
I sincerely hope that you will take good care of your health in this cold weather.

    Second tree-planting meeting

The second tree-planting session was successfully completed on April 7-8. The second participating member took the lead in planting trees on the slopes, and after planting the trees, weeds were extracted to sow the seeds of the clover, which is the feed for cattle. This is a hard task, with many rounds and trips on the slopes in a row so that the seeds are rooted.
On the second day, we learned about the relationship between global warming and cattle and soil, and held a discussion on the theme of “F&P and climate change.” It was a good opportunity for us to understand and be aware of what we can do and the SDG activities that the company is working on.
The trees we planted last time are growing steadily, little by little, with their leaves changing color with the seasons. We would be happy if each of you could think a little about what you can do now for the earth when you receive your dairy products again this year.
