Message from the President September 2024
This year marks the third year of our “Chiba Minamiboso SDGs Co-creation Rice Farming” project. With the theme of “Protecting Land Degradation Through Partnerships,” we are working to raise awareness of the SDGs’ challenges related to food and ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns.
This year, approximately 30 employees from our company joined a total of about 100 participants in rice planting on April 20 and rice harvesting on August 24.
Despite concerns about the impact of the August typhoon, thanks to the support of local farmers, the “co-creation rice” grew successfully and will be delivered to everyone with our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support.
Additionally, a portion of the rice will be donated to children’s welfare facilities nationwide through a food bank.
September 2024
We have shipped the Co-Creation Rice!
This year, we harvested a large amount of rice, which was divided among employees for bagging and packaging. We delivered the rice to our employees and their families with expressions of gratitude.
Due to the nationwide rice shortage this year, many employees who received the rice expressed appreciation, saying, “This was a great help” and “We will treasure it.” These comments give us a sense that our efforts are making a difference.
August 2024
We harvested the rice!
Despite the intense heat, over 100 members participated in this year’s rice harvest.
Working together and dividing up the tasks, we successfully harvested all the rice.
The harvested rice will be dried, threshed to remove the husks, and polished to finally become the familiar rice we recognize.

We planted the rice!
This year marks the third year of our collaborative rice cultivation project.
As a valuable opportunity to build relationships across departmental boundaries, many members gathered for this year’s rice planting.
Even with some first-time participants, everyone worked together to carefully plant each rice seedling, successfully completing the task of planting all the rice as planned.
