2019/10/01

The completion ceremony for the “NISSAY Yokohama Machida Logistics “, which F&P served a role as advisor for designing and building of the logistics facility during the construction process to Nippon Life Insurance Company, was held on October 1, 2019.

The facility was constructed at a land site owned by Sanki Engineering Co., Ltd. at Yamato City, Kanagawa under a lease contract. The facility is the third building of Nippon Life Insurance Company as a new lease distribution facility, and it is the first large-scale site located in the Tokyo metropolitan area.

The planned site is located about 3 km from the Tomei Expressway “Yokohama Machida” IC and is a suitable site for delivery from the surrounding area to a wide area of the Tokyo metropolitan area. It is 15 minutes by foot from Chuo-Rinkan Station on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line, and it is also a good location for commuting access.

In addition to providing advisory service during design and construction periods, including design reviews,  F&P provided support for tenants, and assistance in preparing classification tables for construction, assets, maintenance, and repairs, credit standards, and in-house bylaws. The facility is built as a distribution center that can meet the diverse needs of tenants by using the central road type with ramps at the North-South side of the building and is accessible to each floor from 2F to 5F.

Finally, F&P hope that the facilities will play a part in the metropolitan logistics infrastructure, contribute to the rationalization and revitalization of logistics, and contribute to the local community, as well as to the Japanese society as a whole.
